Come meet Rebekah, a mom of three, believer in giving back to the community, and a secondhand clothing enthusiast.

Q: When did you discover your passion for fashion, and the second hand clothing world?
​
A: I discovered my love for clothing when I was 5 years old. I loved playing dress up and when I turned 8 my Grandma would take me to thrift stores to find new dress up clothes. It became this magical world where I could find one of a kind pieces that no one else had. I fell in love with the thrill of going through all the clothes to see what treasure I would be able to find next.

Q: Where would we find you, if you weren't working at the store?
​
A: Being a mom, hanging out with my three kids, three dogs, and watching nostalgic movies.

Q: Why did you open Bee & Key Boutique?
​
A: I wanted consignors to be able to get more than 40% of what their clothes brought in, which is what I had gotten previously when I had done consignment. I wanted to share the idea of reusing and recycling clothing. I wanted to create a system where consignors could see where their items were, and have full transparency between the store and the consignors. I wanted the consignment store that I would want to take my clothes to.

Q: If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
​
A: Creative, unique, and driven.

Q: What are your long term goals for Bee & Key Boutique?
​
A: I would love to see more people second hand shopping, and purchasing preowned clothing. I would love to give back to the community and create a space where small business owners can come for pop up shops. I want to host private parties in the store, and be able to share my space with as many people as I can. I just love the idea of giving back, creating community, and introducing people to second hand shopping.

Q: What's your favourite food?
​
A: Thanh Thanh oriental noodle house, by far! I live for Vietnamese food.

Q: What's your favourite part about having Bee & Key Boutique open so far?
​
A: I love when someone comes in and finds an item that they fall in love with. I love seeing the joy on their face, and I love seeing them light up when they think of what they can do with that piece in their wardrobe. I love helping women find new clothing that they might not have put on before, and I love being able to offer unique ideas to add to pieces they may already own to freshen up their wardrobe.
